Tasmania 14th Annual Geoscience Forum 2024
The AusIMM Tasmania Branch, GSA, AIG and Mineral Resources Tasmania are pleased to bring you the 14th Geoscience Forum.
The purpose of this forum is to gather geoscientists in one place to share their progress in exploration, mining and research.

Join us for a “Mining History” tour (not a geological exploration tour). This will be conducted convoy car style (2-wheel drive will be okay).
- The tour to the Nickel Reward, Vaudeau, Mosquito, Blowfly, South and North Cuni mines should take around 2.5 to 3 hours. Finish at North Cuni Mine where attendees can drive back to the Murchison Highway.
- For the more fit, and adventurous people, then a visit to the Lead Blocks mine can be undertaken. This would be a further 2.5 to 3 hours. Finish at the North Cuni Mine where attendees can drive back to the Murchison Highway.
Please note: Walking distance from cars, on rough tracks through the bush is a maximum of 300 metres.
ASR1998_01.pdf – Will give an overview on what will be seen during the tour.
Registrants must be attending the Geoscience Forum to register for the tour.
