Planet Gas, an Australian Stock Exchange listed emerging energy company (ASX:PGS), with interests in Australia and the United States encompassing hydrocarbons, coal bed methane and geothermals. Having recently achieved a number of important financial milestones, the Company is now entering a significant growth phase. With the initial focus on hydrocarbons and CBM/gas in Australia and the United States, the longer term agenda includes evaluation and development of the extensive geothermal portfolio.

Working with the Chief Operating Officer, your role will be critical in the evaluation of existing properties and potential new acquisitions, the design/implementation of the appropriate exploration programmes, as well as the assessment of new exploration and production opportunities. Being a new phase of growth for Planet Gas, previous experience in a commercial E & P environment is a prerequisite. Your background should include clastics and carbonate interpretation, with CBM and/or geothermal being an added advantage.

You will bring with you the experience to put in place proven exploration/evaluation practices and procedures to support the development of Planet Gas. You will be able to work on a variety of tasks in addition to your traditional exploration/evaluation responsibilities; such as presentations for internal and external distribution, farm-in evaluations and assessment of production sharing contracts and joint operating agreements. A role which brings together your technical competencies, your "hands-on" priority setting capabilities, and your administrative/organisational skills.
