The Geo-Computing 2010 conference is designed to provide all geoscientists with up-to-date information on computer uses and abuses within the industry. The conference will be held over three days, comprising two days of technical presentations, followed by a day of specialised industry workshops, presented by industry leaders. In parallel with the first two days, a trade exhibition will be held. There is also be a GOCAD pre-conference workshop (27th-28th).
Conference sessions will be introduced via key note presentations from recognised industry experts; including best practice, case studies and emerging developments in the themes of:
- Computer applications in target generation, exploration and mining
- Intelligent use of multidisciplinary data sets in GIS compilations
- 3D modelling in geophysics and its integration with geological models
- Database protocols, data migration, functionality and data sources
- Future developments and directions of hardware and software
- Statutory reporting and compliance requirements
